About the Species

This specimen, a male, was collected by E. Heller on 10 July 1911 along the Lakiundu River in 'British East Africa.' It was made available to the University of Texas High-Resolution X-ray CT Facility for scanning by Dr. Blaire Van Valkenburgh of the University of California Los Angeles. Funding for scanning was provided by Dr. Van Valkenburgh and by a National Science Foundation Digital Libraries Initiative grant to Dr. Timothy Rowe of The University of Texas at Austin.

About this Specimen

The specimen was scanned by Matthew Colbert on 21 April 2009 along the horizontal axis for a total of 275 slices. Each 1024x1024 pixel slice is 0.5 mm thick, with an interslice spacing of 0.5 mm and a field of reconstruction of 255 mm.
